It is regarded as an evidence of individuals social maladjustment and viewed as a widespread condition which has harmful consequences of the society.
Our society is seeing from all walks of life many are deeply affected by addiction. Addiction is as a term defined a chronic relapsing disorder for people abusing substances like smoking, alcohol, rave drugs, medical drugs etc. The main complication of drug abusers is overdose and intoxication producing lethality, and behavioral problems both domestic and social leading to legal issues and family disruption.
Addiction can happen to anybody. There is no specific sex, occupation, family background, education etc. a professional team comprising of Psychiatrist, Medical Officer, Counsellor,
Social Workers and Yoga Therapist involve in the treatment of Drug/ Alcohol addicts. The person undergoes different stages of treatment and counseling. This process not only involves the individual but also the family members whose participation is very important in the prevention of relapse.
