Drug\Alcohol is a serious problem both for the addict and for his family. Drug abuse may be perceived both as an aberrant behaviour and as a social problem. It is regarded as an evidence of individuals social maladjustment and viewed as a widespread condition which has harmful consequences of the society.

The Puthiya Paathai Drug/ Alcohol Addicts Rehabilitation Center at Pathirikuppam, Cuddalore . The Center provides free-of-cost shelter, clothing, food, yoga, treatment, therapeutic interventions, Counsellingand medical support for addicted people. It was established in 1984 (Reg no. 17/1984 ), represented by Ln. Dr. P. Rajendran, (Executive Director).

The Center is registered under Registration U/S 12A Read With Section 12AA Of The Income Tax Act 1961 C.No.239/(37)/9 dated 08.09.1993 & Registration U/S 80G(5)(vi) Of The Income Tax Act 1961 C.No.9165E(1024)/CIT/PDY/2014-2015 dated 25.06.2014 by Director of Income Tax (Exemption), Chennai.
