VOCATIONAL SKILL TRAINING

The Primary purpose of Vocational Training is to prepare individuals especially the youth in the age group of 15-25 years and make them employable for a broad group of occupation. Vocational Training in some of the specialized areas, including training of women through the field institutes. The objective is to provide vocational to persons who have dropped out of school or discontinued education for economic reasons or are jobless. There is demand for vocational skills in order to mitigate economic hardship. Particularly of unemployment youth in remote areas and further the cause of women's empowerment.

TAILORING AND COMPUTER CENTER

Objectives:

The objective of the project is to provide opportunities for improving the skills of women, youth and children so that they can find better opportunities for employment and improving their economic situation. Vocational training such as tailoring and computer courses are conducted members are also referred to other organisation for skill training.

Impacts:

SHG members and youth have gained skills that provide employment opportunities. SHG women have started enterprises on their own after the training. Women and youth who did computer courses have found jobs. Students are benefiting from the courses during the summer holiday because it aids them during higher studies are women who go out of their home for the first time and to have professional and social activities are benefitted.

The tailoring centers have become well known in the surrounding and the importance of women having to work and be independent is accepted and encouraged by the people.

RNEWABLE ENERGY PROGRAMME

ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS:

Today, our way of living often harms the environment. The way that we produce and consume goods depletes the Earth. The growing world population continues to drain the earth of its natural resources.

Carbondioxide and other "greenhouse gases" are an important part of Earth's natural cycles, but human activities are boosting their concentrations, in the atmosphere to dangerous levels. The result is rising global temperatures and an unstable climate that threatens humans, economies and ecosystems. Energy lights our cities, towns and villages. Energy powers our vehicles, trains, planes and rockets. Energy help us cook our food, play music, television etc. energy powers machinery in factories and tractors in fields.

Energy is universally recognized as one of the most significant inputs for economic growth and human development. Increasing demand for energy is creating problems ranging from rise in prices energy shortage, pollution and waste, displacement of people etc. Renewable sources (Energy derived from Flowing water, Solar radiation, Wind energy, Energy from tides, Geothermal energy, Biomass (Wood, animal and crop waste).

Conservation is important since it saves money and natural resources, reduces environmental impacts. Identify electricity usage and wastage, changing energy wasting habits, becoming energy efficient.
