ANBAGAM SWADHAR GREH (SHORT STAY HOME)

There is a big need of taking care of the destitute or distressed women in India. Since women are the ones who are being more exploited in the society. They experience a lot of problems and pains. These pains and problems push them to conclude their life by suicide, some change their life from rational or moral view, and some become mentally ill.

So, to avoid all these problems we run a Swadhar Greh Home. The inmates or beneficiaries are sent by the family members, who are being;

• Ignored by the family members
• Betrayed by the male sex
• Dowry problem
• Family problem or any other.

We are providing stay for women who have come out of their home as neither their relatives accepted them. These women have a homely-feeling and do household works. They accept each other and share their feelings and difficulties.

The counsellor counsels them whenever they are in need. They are provided certain life scoping skills; medical assistance and personality development classes to strengthen themselves.

Project outcome:

• i. Awareness (Physical, mental & educational) for the women folk is established.
• ii. They are motivated to run their future.
• iii. Social taboo regarding sex is explained by the doctor or a counselor.
• iv. Communication is enhanced.
• v. Their inner wounds are healed and given self-confidence.
• vi. They are made mentally strong and active.
• vii. Legal awareness is given.
